The walking time to the nearest railway station is displayed automatically in each listing. This feature helps people get a better idea of locations – without having to search other maps.

The location of a property matters – and whether you’re commuting to work or just want to get into town quickly, knowing how far the nearest train station is can be a deciding factor. For this reason, this information can now be seen directly in the listing.

Discover the surrounding area
You can also add important places, such as your work or gym, and instantly check how long it will take to get there – on foot, by bike, by car or by public transport. Other places in the area around the property are displayed automatically:
- Shopping facilities
- Pharmacies
- Schools
- Public transport
This gives prospective buyers or tenants a good sense of the infrastructure and quality of life in the neighbourhood.

The travel time check saves valuable time, as you no longer have to manually check distances on maps or open multiple tabs (or even ask the property advertiser). This makes it easier to decide whether a listed property is suitable for you.

Not having to answer enquiries from interested parties also saves time for you as the lister. Moreover, it increases the likelihood of you receiving worthwhile responses to your ad, as interested parties already have this information and find it acceptable.
Travel time information FAQs
The travel time displayed refers to the nearest railway station. The information about the surrounding area below the map, on the other hand, shows the nearest public transport options, such as bus or tram stops.
By default, the commuting time is set to walking to provide a uniform reference value. In future versions, however, it will be possible to adjust the mode of transport.
This information cannot be displayed if, for example, the exact address is missing or the lister has requested this information should be hidden.
If you notice any unusual or incorrect information, you can report it via our Support Centre.
The times may differ because our system calculates the travel time using its own calculation tool (TravelTime), which does not always correspond exactly to Google Maps. However, the deviations should be small and still allow a reliable estimate of the distance.
